Card records

CSCS and competency card records

Keep every operative's cards in one place, see what is about to expire, and decide what happens when someone tries to clock in without a valid card.

Cards you can record

CSCS, CPCS, NPORS, ECS, JIB, PTS, SMSTS, SSSTS, first aid and NRSWA. Operatives can see their own cards in "My cards" on their phone, and the office keeps the records up to date.

Expiry warnings

TallyGate warns you before cards expire, so renewals don't get missed.

Clocking in without a valid card

You choose what happens, with one setting:

  • Do nothing: the clock-in goes through as normal
  • Flag (the default): the clock-in goes through and is flagged for the office
  • Stop: the clock-in is refused

Right to work checks

Record right to work checks with follow-up dates and copies of the documents. The GOV.UK employer's guide to right to work checks sets out what you need to check.

Checking a card is genuine

TallyGate keeps card records and expiry dates. It doesn't connect to the CSCS database. To check that a CSCS card is genuine and in date, use the free CSCS Smart Check app.
